Our aim as a church is simple but challenging:

to BE disciples of Jesus and to MAKE disciples of Jesus (Matthew 28 v 16-20)

We believe that a healthy church will be growing in three 'directions':

• UPWARDS    to God, developing a lifestyle of worship
• INWARDS     to each other, enjoying caring, honest friendships
• OUTWARDS  to the community, demonstrating God's love in words and actions

In all of this, we recognise the vital importance of maintaining a close relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Our aims reflect those of the Elim Church nationally.  There are over 500 Elim churches in the UK, as well as churches in over 40 countries throughout the world.  With a heart to reach up to God in worship and out to the world in service, Elim aims to "build bigger people" who are fully resourced and equipped to take the full gospel to the whole world.
