Bubbles

This is our group for children which runs during most Sunday services.  Whilst the adults learn together in the main church the children enjoy their own time of learning in one of the halls.  Experienced childrens' leaders ensure learning is a fun, interactive and informative experience for babies - 5 year olds.

Meet the team:

Sally

Sally Babooram:  Sally is a trained teacher with many years of experience of working with children. She also heads up the church playgroup. Sally has a laid-back relational approach to children and, as a member of the church leadership, has oversight of all of our family, children's and youth ministry.

Neil Jackson: Neil is an experienced youth and children's worker. A former secondary school teacher and schools worker, he works for Scripture Union as Development Worker for Church & Community for the North-East & Yorkshire Region. In his spare time(!) Neil has had a key role in seeking to develop the church's vision for and effectiveness with families, youth and children's ministry.

Sue Jackson: Married to Neil, Sue is a full-time mum to their two daughters. She is a very experienced primary school teacher, who has taught at the highest level, serves as a governor at a local school and also co-runs 'Babies Plus', our church toddler group.

Alison Franklin: With experience in Playgroup, as a worker then as the leader, Alison is well qualified to bring out the best in any child.  Alison has a natural affinity with the children who thoroughly enjoy the chance to spend time with 'Aunty Alison!'.

Adele Barnett: Adele is a recent addition to the team, bringing with her a love for children that is expressed through her concern for her own two children, as well as through involvement in both 'Bubbles' and 'Babies Plus' (which she co-runs with Sue).

Davey Harrison: Davey is married to Adele and as well as caring for their two boys, he supports Sunderland AFC. Ah well! Someone has to!! Davey provides valuable support to 'Bubbles' sessions and uses his experience of parenthood to its fullest.

Judith and Brian Wade: Due to circumstances, Judith and Brian are currently taking a break from involvement with the children's ministry in the church. They have many years of experience helping youngsters learn in a variety of ways.  Judith was a Brownie leader for many years and is very gifted in art & crafts. The children always have something to take home to remind them of things they have learnt.
